John Wheeler emailed me with the date for Tuba Christmas: December 19. While not an activity of the Sunshine Brass itself, I'm sure that our friends would appreciate hearing about it.

If you are interested, but Zephyrhills is a bit far for you, check out the other events at
the official TubaChristmas site. They are not all on the 20th, so if you really want, you could even attend more than one!

In case of inclement weather the performance will be in the First United Methodist Church.
TUBACHRISTMAS® concerts are events of public performances of tuba and euphonium players of all ages who honor the heritage of their chosen instruments in public concerts of traditional Christmas music. Through this medium they acknowledge the legacy of great artists/teachers through William J. Bell (born Christmas Day, 1902) and pay grateful tribute to composers who have embraced the instruments at the base of the band/orchestra with their solo and ensemble compositions through Alec Wilder (died Christmas Eve, 1980) who arranged the Christmas carols for the first TUBACHRISTMAS held Sunday, December 22, 1974 in Rockefeller Center, NYC.
