Rehearsals

The Sunshine Brass Band is always seeking talented brass and percussion players wishing to help us grow our ensemble.

If you are interested in joining, please call or email Timothy Jones at 813-900-8131 to confirm our next rehearsal time and date.  Normally, it is every Monday evening from 7pm to 9pm, excluding major holidays that fall on Monday, and on occasion it is canceled to due to other reasons.

Here are the directions: 

1. From Bruce B. Downs Blvd, go east on County Line Road.
2. Follow it past Tanglewood, until it ends at Mansfield. 
3. Turn LEFT (North) onto Mansfield, and follow it until the end as well.
   At this point, you should see barricades preventing you from going any further, and
   an enormous school on the left side. This is NOT Wiregrass Ranch HS, it is the Long Middle School.
   Pass the middle school, and turn left onto the road at the end of Mansfield.
   This road doesn't have any markings of it's own, and going there for the first time in the dark,
   you will likely feel like it is not going to lead anywhere.
4. Turn LEFT again, and take it all the way to it's end,
   which is also barricaded. At that point you will see a chain-linked-fence gate to the left.
5. Turn LEFT once more. Enter through the gate, and you will find that there lies Wiregrass Ranch High School.
   Park in the parking lot between the school and the stadium.

After the first few rehearsals, if both you and the band feel that there is a match, then we will offer you a chance to audition.
